Епидемиологът проф. Тодор Кантарджиев съветва да направим всичко възможно да намалим риска да бъдем ухапани от комари.
“Съветвам да се ползват репеленти. Машинките в контакта, репеленти за кожата и дрехите. Трябва да се мажат с репеленти дрехите на децата и количките на бебетата”, посочи той пред Bulgaria ON AIR.
Специалистът препоръчва на места с много комари да носим по две памучни тениски. Някои по-големи комари могат да ни ухапят и през дънките, обърна внимание той.
Проф. Кантарджиев успокои, че западнонилската треска не е нещо, което трябва да предизвиква паника в обществото.
“Когато комар, който е носител на западнонилска треска, а това са и нашенските комари, ухапе човек – от 200 души се появяват симптоми при един. 80% от ухапаните не разбират, че са ухапани. В тях се развива вирусът и те придобиват имунитет.
20% от ухапаните хора в рамките на 10 дни могат да получат оплаквания с болки по мускулите и ставите, висока уморяемост, невисока температура”, обясни епидемиологът.
Само 0,5% от ухапаните могат да развият възпаление на мозъка. Тогава се стига до дезориентация и загуба на съзнание. Винаги трябва да се търси медицинска помощ и близките на ухапания на информират лекаря, че той е бил обект на ухапване от комар, изтъкна проф. Кантарджиев.
Според него големият пик на комарите е минал през юли месец, но след новите валежи сега може да се появят повече комари.
“Не бива хората да оставят открита вода в съдове, трябва да се покриват тези съдове. Тропическите комари обичат да снасят яйцата си на такива места.
Тропическите трески се пренасят от тигровите комари, не от нашенските. Преди 15 години внесохме в България тигрови комари с декоративни растения”, каза още епидемиологът.
По думите му засега няма случаи на разпространение на денга у нас.
“Случаите са вносни. Всички, които ходят на екзотични дестинации, да взимат мерки с репеленти и да не допускат ухапвания”, препоръча проф. Кантарджиев.
Той добави, че желаещите родители да ваксинират децата си срещу менингококова инфекция, могат да го направят в рамките на първата година от раждането.
